THE PREDICTION

England stunned Samoa in the opening game of the Rugby League World Cup as they ran out 60-6 winners to lay down a marker for the rest of the competition. The hosts were excellent in that contest and will now look to build on that in this clash with France. Head coach Shaun Wane will rotate his side to give every member of his squad a chance to make their mark and claim a spot in the strongest 17 moving forward. They come up against a French side that dispatched Greece in their opening clash but this will be a much tougher assignment and despite England’s rotation, it would be something of a surprise if they did not claim another comfortable victory so it is worth siding with the host nation to cover the -36 handicap in this one.
