- South Sydney Rabbitohs were outclassed by Penrith Panthers last week as they were unable to build on their first win of the season, leaving them with just one success in their four games to date.
- The Rabbitohs had no issue making metres and regularly rumbled up the field but they struggled to break down the quality Penrith defence and that is an area they will be eager to improve on here with Blake Taaffe in line for his first appearance of the season off the bench.

- St. George Illawarra Dragons were on the end of a hammering by Parramatta Eels last week as a second half capitulation saw them fall to a heavy 48-14 defeat, their third loss in succession.
- The Dragons trailed just 12-8 at the break but allowed 36 second half points and that will be of huge concern to head coach Anthony Griffin after he opted to shake his spine up last week but despite the manner of last week’s loss, there is only change to the 17 with Jaydn Su’A returning from suspension.

THE PREDICTION
These two teams come into this clash on the back of defeats last week but South Sydney Rabbitohs will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways as they take on a struggling St. George Illawarra Dragons outfit. Souths were beaten by premiers Penrith Panthers last week and while they will need to be better with the ball as well as showing more defensively on the edges, this appears to be a very winnable fixture. The Dragons have lost their last three and the manner of their loss to Parramatta Eels last week could be difficult to overcome. To make matters worse for the Dragons, they have lost the past seven matchups between the two teams so expect the Rabbitohs to prevail here and to do so by covering the -9.5 handicap.
