- South Sydney Rabbitohs recorded a sixth straight win but it was far from pretty as they were pushed all the way by bottom side Canterbury Bulldogs and there were worrying signs in that contest.

- New Zealand Warriors put in a valiant display despite some severe adversity but they ultimately fell short in their quest to end their winless streak as they were beaten by Penrith Panthers last week.
- The Warriors had to play the entire second half without an interchange due to losing four players to injury, among those being the influential Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Tohu Harris with that pair sidelined once again here.
THE PREDICTION
New Zealand Warriors have now lost their last six games after going
down to Penrith Panthers last week and despite showing plenty of heart
in that contest, there is still lots for them to improve if they are to
get back to winning ways. This will be a tough task here, especially as
they come into it without a few key players. South Sydney Rabbitohs have
won six in a row in a complete reverse of the Warriors’ form and after a
poor showing in victory against Canterbury Bulldogs last week, the
Rabbits should put in a more assured performance to cover the -17.5
handicap.
