- Canterbury Bulldogs were woeful once again as they were kept scoreless for the second week in succession but the manner of their defeat against last season’s wooden spoonists Brisbane Broncos highlighted some serious issues.
- It is now just 16 points scored through Round 3 while the Bulldogs have also conceded 84 during the same period following the 24-0 loss with their lack of metres becoming a real worry having averaged just 1,381m per game so far which is the lowest in the NRL.

- South Sydney Rabbitohs produced a stunning first half display as they blitzed fierce rivals Sydney Roosters and while the full-time result of 26-16 did not paint the picture of a dominant display, the Rabbitohs were extremely impressive in how they played.
- That victory laid down a big marker and they will be keen to build on it against the lowly Bulldogs but they will still be eager to cut down on their number of errors as they look to produce a complete 80-minute performance.
THE PREDICTION
It has been a dreadful start for new Canterbury Bulldogs head coach Trent Barrett and things could be about to get a lot worse as they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs in what could be a blowout score. The Bulldogs have been kept scoreless in back-to-back games and the Rabbitohs will relish the chance to make that three in a row. The Bunnies were superb in their win over Sydney Roosters last week and with a huge gulf in class between the two teams, Souths can punish Canterbury here by covering the -20 handicap.
