- St. George Illawarra Dragons were on the end of another heavy loss as they succumbed to defeat for the third game in succession with South Sydney Rabbitohs getting the better of them.
- The Dragons shipped 50 points in that game and were perhaps lucky it was not more as they struggled to deal with the Rabbitohs’ attacking shape but in an even bigger blow to their hopes of making the finals, Ben Hunt suffered a fractured arm and will be missing for at least four games.
THE PREDICTION
Canberra Raiders and St. George Illawarra Dragons come into this
pivotal clash with both sitting outside of the top eight but with
everything still to play for. The pair are each sitting on 18 points as
the race to make the finals hots up but the Dragons’ hopes have suffered
a huge blow with key man Ben Hunt potentially out for the rest of the
season. They will find it hard to overcome his loss and having suffered
three straight losses, another defeat is on the cards for them here with
Canberra able to make it four wins from their last five.
