How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Romania have lost only two of their last ten World Cup qualifying matches at home (W6 D2).
  • Romania have kept four clean sheets in their last five World Cup qualifying matches at home.
  • Austria have won their previous five matches in the current World Cup qualifying campaign. This is the first time they have started an edition with five wins in a row.

Romania vs Austria prediction

Romania performed well to qualify for UEFA EURO 2024 and were strong in the UEFA Nations League last autumn but they come into this one having been humbled in qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, comfortably below both Austria and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The latter of that pair pose very little threat to the scorers, though, with Austria easing their way to a comfortable qualification under the management of former Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick. They annihilated San Marino by ten goals to nil at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna.

An Austria victory is the expected outcome here but their high intensity style of football could make it an intriguing watch for the neutral regardless of the end match result.

Romania vs Austria tip: Austria to win & both teams to score
