In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League play-off round, Midtjylland defeated Rijeka by two goals to nil with goals scored by Cho Gue-sung and Sofus Johannesson at the MCH Arena up in Denmark.
Midtjylland have been very impressive in European competition in recent times, finishing second in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League last season. Rijeka have made it past Derry City and Ilves Tampere to reach this stage.
Rijeka were perhaps fortunate to get through those ties and this is now a major step up and Midtjylland would have to be viewed as favourites to get another win here.
