Rigas Futbola Skola come into this one on the back of a week off in the Latvian Higher League, where they currently sit behind Riga on goal difference with just a game to play, which is against each other, with RFS having the slightly better goal difference and able to win the league once again by winning that game.

Hamrun Spartans, on the other hand, have started their Maltese Premier League season with a draw, against Tarxien. They do, though, have a lead to cling on to in the UEFA Europa Conference League, as they edged past RFS in the first-leg of this tie at Ta’ Qali National Stadium, courtesy of a 55th minute Saliou Thioune winner.

The likelihood is that this game is a low-scoring encounter and probably gets pushed towards extra-time, too, with RFS surely the favourites between the two sides.
