The first-leg of this tie was, unlike a lot of the games in UEFA competition last week, extremely one-sided and it means it has already been all but wrapped up this week.

Penybont vs Kauno Zalgiris prediction

The first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round tie at Jonavos centrinis stadionas in Lithuania last week, Kauno Zalgiris thumped their Welsh opposition Penybont by three goals to nil. A Gabriel Kircough own goal gave Kauno an 18th minute lead before goals from Gratas Sirgedas and Damjan Pavlovic completed the rout for Kauno, before Mael Davies was then sent off for Penybont.

Penybont have massively underwhelmed in the opening leg of this competition and their hopes of emulating the record-breaking 13 British and Irish sides that reached the league phase of a UEFA competition last season have now been badly damaged.

Penybont will want to restore some pride with home advantage back in Wales, but, frankly, Kauno Zalgiris seem much stronger and should ease their way to another win.
