At the Kadriorg Stadium in Estonia last week, Nomme Kalju and Partizani Tirana shared a 1-1 draw in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round tie. It was goalless at half-time before Mattias Mannilaan opened the scoring for Nomme after 47 minutes, with Kosovan international Xhuliano Skuka equalising for Partizani a few minutes’ later.
Partizani Tirana have been frustrating to watch in European competition over recent years, and that has also been the case for Nomme Kalju, too.
Partizani will believe they have a really good chance of taking the game to Nomme with home advantage in the second-leg, but the Estonians will also sense a major opportunity and that could lead to a chaotic and entertaining encounter in Tirana.
