Estonian outfit Paide Linnameeskond have begun to earn a reputation for their impressive development of young talent. In the first qualifying round of this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League, they managed to defeat Gibraltarian side Bruno’s Magpies by seven goals to three on aggregate. They won 3-2 in the first-leg in Gibraltar, before then hammering the Magpies by four goals to one in the second-leg.

They now face an AIK side that, with Mikkjal Thomassen at the helm, finished third in the 2024 Swedish Allsvenskan campaign. Gnaget, as they are nicknamed, haven’t played in Europe since reaching the playoffs of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Paide, at both ends of the pitch, showed that they are going to be quite entertaining to watch, and that should lead to quite an entertaining encounter for the neutral this week.
