NSI vs HJK prediction

Coached by Jens Wedeborg, NSI Runavik finished fourth in the Faroe Islands Premier League last season and so they will feel a bit fortunate to have returned to European competition. They have only ever won one European tie and that was then they defeated Barry Town United in 2020 in the UEFA Europa League preliminary round.

They now face a HJK Helsinki side that are without a permanent coach for the time being so Miika Nuutinen is in charge on an interim basis after their very disappointing third place finish in the Finnish Veikkausliiga. The 33-time Finnish champions qualified for the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

NSI aren’t European regulars and HJK certainly have the better pedigree but they are a lower ebb at the moment so siding with NSI for this first-leg may well be a good value bet.

NSI vs HJK tip: Double chance – NSI to win or draw
