North Macedonia have been impressive in qualification but may now missing out on top spot in their group as they welcome what is a poor Latvia side to Skopje this midweek.

North Macedonia vs Latvia prediction

North Macedonia arguably have a better squad than the one that qualified for UEFA EURO 2020 a few years ago. The North Macedonians have been very competitive alongside Belgium in Wales in qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup but, after holding Belgium to a goalless draw last month, they were then held by Kazakhstan.

They now face a Latvia side that have managed just one win, which came against a poor and seemingly somehow regressing Andorra side, in their seven Group K matches. The Latvians most recently suffered a 5-0 annihilation at the hands of an improving England in Riga last month.

North Macedonia will be frustrated by that draw with the Kazakhs and it could well be that Latvia feel the full wrath of that irritation this week.

North Macedonia vs Latvia tip: North Macedonia to win -1 handicap
