THE PREDICTION
It has been an underwhelming season for Minnesota Vikings and their huge loss to New Orleans Saints in Week 16 highlighted their defensive issues in a big way. The Vikings conceded 52 points in the humiliating defeat and that resulted in head coach Mike Zimmer calling out his defense, labelling the unit as the worst he has ever had. That may rally them for this final game of the regular season against NFC North rivals Detroit Lions, especially as they too were on the end of a heavy loss last week as Tampa Bay Buccaneers dismantled them. The early loss of QB Matt Stafford did not help their cause but he could return here and if he does take to the field, this should be a high-scoring contest that produces at least 54 points with two poor defensive units on show.
