Morocco vs Syria prediction

Both Morocco and Syria qualified for the knockout stage with excellent defence a catalyst for their success. Both conceded just once across their respective three group games, with Morocco scoring four goals compared to Syria’s two and picking up five seven points, whilst Syria gained five. When taking into account how impressive both backlines have looked so far, it would be no surprise if this proved to be an encounter short on clear-cut chances.

Neither team will want to give their opponent a sniff on the counter-attack and will likely keep bodies behind the ball in bulk when out of possession. Space should be sparce for attackers and for Syria especially, getting into goalscoring positions looks a tough ask. With that in mind, a low-scoring game is worth backing with under 2.5 goals being scored across 90 minutes.

Morocco vs Syria tip: Under 2.5 goals
