RICARDO RAMOS VS JULIAN EROSA LOWDOWN
Ricardo Ramos (16-5) has not been enjoying alternating wins in recent years. When Lerone Murphy (202) halted a two-fight win streak with a TKO, he bounced back with a solid unanimous decision over Bill Algeo (2021). Zubaira Tukhugov (2021) gave him a taste of his own medicine but then he replied with a trademarked spinning back elbow knockout over Danny Chavez (2022). However, he is coming off another disappointing loss where he got submitted by Charles Jourdain (2023).
Julian Erosa (28-11) is even more inconsistent. He is currently in his third UFC stint, and it was third time lucky going 5-1 in his first six fights back. He managed to submit Jourdain (2021) and then went on to outpoint Steven Peterson (2021) and Hakeem Dawodu (2022). However, he is coming off his sixth and seventh knockout loss which were delivered by Alex Caceres (2022) and Fernando Padilla (2023).
RICARDO RAMOS VS JULIAN EROSA PREDICTION
This should be fireworks and considering their finishing ability and Erosa’s chin, a finish is likely. They are exciting and diverse strikers with exceptional jiu-jitsu and will hunt the finish wherever the fight goes.
Erosa has better experience, but the seven knockout losses is a real worry. There is no way he will be able to eat a clean Ramos elbow which the Brazilian will look to land when the fight gets loose.
We expect a repertoire of strikes exchanged with scrambles and the odd takedown attempt. This should be a very fast-paced scrap and it could go either way. We are leaning towards Ramos as he is more dangerous, and Erosa’s chin is very fragile.
