ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ VS DAMON JACKSON LOWDOWN
Alexander Hernandez (14-7) is struggling to stay afloat in the UFC going 1-3 in his last four. He got submitted by Renato Moicano (2022) and then decided to drop down to featherweight only to get knocked out by Billy Quarantillo (2022). He bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Jim Miller (2023) but is now coming off a unanimous decision decision loss to Bill Algeo (2023).
Damon Jackson (23-6-1(1)) capped off a four-fight win streak in 2022 with his most impressive performance to date knocking out Pat Sabatini in the first round. However, Dan Ige punched all of the momentum out of him knocking him out at UFC Fight Night 217. He went on to lose a unanimous decision to Billy Quarantillo seven months later to go winless in 2023.
ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ VS DAMON JACKSON PREDICTION
Hernandez drops back down to featherweight, but it cannot go much worse than it did against Quarantillo. When he is on his game, he is a quality fighter. He is an explosive striker and is a strong wrestler but rarely puts it all together.
Jackson is also very tough, but he is not as athletic or dangerous on the feet. He will prefer to get this fight to the ground as he has very slick jiu-jitsu and if he can find the takedown easily, it could be a long night for Hernandez.
They two are too inconsistent to back with any confidence. We can see Jackson squeezing out a decision or even cinching up a late submission. We can also see Hernandez scrape a decision or even pulling off a knockout.
