Mexico vs Uruguay prediction

Under the management of former Real Mallorca boss Javier Aguirre, Mexico have a strong squad, albeit not one that is comparable with El Tri squads of the past. The Mexicans most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Ecuador to extend their current winless run of form to four matches since winning the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

They now face a Uruguay side that, following the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa, have been much-improved the last couple of years. The Uruguayans have dipped of late but a 2-1 defeat of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur last month means that they are now unbeaten in their last six matches.

Uruguay play a very intense style of football and will seek to swarm the Mexicans in what could be quite a fun but congested encounter.

Mexico vs Uruguay tip: Both teams to score
