  • Malta are aiming to win successive World Cup qualifying matches for the first time.
  • Poland have lost only two of their last 15 World Cup qualifying matches (W10 D3).
  • Poland have won four of their last six World Cup qualifying matches away from home (D1 L1).
  • Poland have scored in their last 21 World Cup qualifying matches.

Malta vs Poland prediction

Having been benefitted by working on patterns of play in the UEFA Nations League, Malta continued their general improvement with what was a famous victory the other day as they defeated Finland by a goal to nil in Helsinki, courtesy of an 81st minute winner scored by Jake Grech.

They now face a Poland side that have kept themselves in contention in Group G of UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the second of two 1-1 draws against the Netherlands the other day, albeit they were unfortunate not to win and sit three points behind the Oranje.

Poland are finishing well and will be heading into the playoffs, albeit Malta, with their home advantage will believe they can make things quite frustrating in Ta Qali.

Malta vs Poland tip: Poland to win & both teams to score
