Luke Littler stormed into another World Matchplay final with a commanding 16-4 victory over a well-beaten Dirk van Duijvenbode, and the world number one is clearly the heavy favourite to defend the Phil Taylor Trophy.
Having already won every other major title in 2026, Littler just looks a class above the rest now and he boasts a staggering tournament average well in excess of 110.
For those hoping for him to be challenged in the final, Gerwy Price is one of the few players capable of pushing him. Having said that, Littler has won the last nine meetings between the two, with seven of those coming in this year's Premier League.
For his part, Price overcame Gian van Veen 16-10 in Saturday's other semi-final, and now finds himself in a Winter Gardens final for the second time in his career.
The Welshman has only averaged over 100 on one occasion in Blackpool this year, and his overall tournament statistics are well behind that of Littler's. His best hope will probably be to try and get under the youngster's skin, but Littler is in such confident mood right now that we can't see past him running away with this.
