Lithuania have proven to be more stubborn than many would have expected in this qualifying campaign as they now prepare to take on Poland this weekend.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Lithuania have won only one of their last 21 World Cup qualifying matches (D4 L16).
  • Poland have lost only two of their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches (W9 D2).
  • Poland have scored in their last 19 World Cup qualifying matches.

Lithuania vs Poland prediction

Despite being more stubborn and competitive, with a different attitude and approach, Lithuania still remain winless in UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They did have a half-time lead against Finland in Helsinki the other day before succumbing to a 2-1 loss to the Fins.

They now face a Poland side that come into this one on the back of a friendly victory against New Zealand as they seek to try and keep the pressure on the Netherlands at the top of the group. Matty Cash scored a late equaliser for the Poles in a 1-1 draw with the Dutch away from home last month.

Poland are hardly ever convincing even in victory at the moment and, whilst they should win this one, it is unlikely to be overly thrilling for the neutral.

Lithuania vs Poland tip: Poland to win & under 3.5 goals
