Linfield vs Shelbourne prediction

Last month, Shelbourne managed to squeeze past Linfield in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, despite Damien Duff leaving Shelbourne just before the tie, to leave former Bolton Wanderers defender Joey O’Brien in interim charge.

In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League playoff round tie, Shelbourne managed to comfortably defeat Linfield by three goals to one in Dublin last week. Mark Fitzpatrick was sent off for Linfield after 18 minutes and then Harry Wood gave Shelbourne a first-half stoppage-time lead. Mipo Odubeko then put them 2-1 up before Kyle Offord’s 53rd minute equaliser. Evan Caffrey then sealed Shelbourne’s first-leg advantage.

Linfield, under the management of David Healy, will believe they have a real chance at Windsor Park in Belfast, and it could be quite an entertaining clash for the neutral.
