Levski Sofia vs AZ Alkmaar prediction

Levski Sofia come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat of Spartak Varna in the Bulgarian First Division at the weekend, where they sit behind Ludogorets Razgrad on penalties. They have suffered just one defeat in 12 matches across all competitions so far this season, with that coming away from home against Braga.

They face an AZ Alkmaar side that have been impressive in European competition in the last month or so. The Dutch outfit have started their 2025/26 Eredivisie campaign with four points from their opening two matches. They hammered Vaduz by four goals to nil in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Levski have proven themselves to be regularly difficult to beat and this is expected to be a low-scoring encounter in Bulgaria this week, as AZ prepare themselves to be stubborn, too.

Levski Sofia vs AZ Alkmaar tip: Double chance – AZ to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
