Lecce Preview: Languishing Lecce
Mid-way through this season, after producing something of a great escape last year, Lecce parted company with experienced manager Luca Gotti and he was replaced by former Milan boss Marco Giampaolo but things have not gone well as they hover above the danger zone.
In their most recent outing, the home team suffered a slender 1-0 defeat to an in-form Roma side at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare due to an 80th minute strike by Ukraine international striker Artem Dovbyk.
Venezia Preview: Defensively improved Venetians
Venezia begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly in the bottom three and the relegation places with just three victories in 30 matches throughout the campaign under the management of former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco.
The Venetians have been much-improved defensively of late, frustrating the likes of Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli but they couldn’t keep out in-form Bologna, suffering a 1-0 loss last weekend due to a 49th minute strike by Riccardo Orsolini.
