Juan Manuel Cerundolo vs David Goffin prediction
Juan Manuel Cerundolo defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the first-round to make it through. The Argentine got the key break in the middle of the deciding set and served far better than his German opponent. Cerundolo made the final of a Challenger event in Braunschweig last week and has five wins from his last six matches.
He will now take on David Goffin after the 34-year-old secured his first win since coming back from injury. He edged a tight first set against Martin Landaluce and then earned an early break in set two to win 7-6 6-3. It was an encouraging display from Goffin but he was incredibly wasteful when it came to break point conversion, taking just one out of 14 possible opportunities.
Goffin made a fine start in Gstaad, but he will face a tougher opponent in Cerundolo in the next round. The Argentinian performed well to get past Struff in the first-round and we favour him to come out on top here too.
