Jagiellonia Bialystok performed well in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season as they now kick off against Maltese champions the Hamrun Spartans this midweek.

With the likes of Jesus Imaz and Afimico Pululu in attack, Jagiellonia Bialystok managed to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season before a loss to Real Betis. The Polish outfit have come through qualifying rounds, against Novi Pazar, Silkeborg and Dinamo City, to reach this stage.
They now face a Hamrun Spartans side that, under the management of Giacomo Modica, managed to win their 11th Maltese title, and third in a row, last season. They got knocked out in both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League before beating Rigas Futbola Skola in the playoffs in August.
Hamrun Spartans will believe they can at least be stubborn in the league phase, but Jagiellonia are still expected to win this one quite comfortably with their home advantage.
