Key stats

  • Israel are unbeaten in the previous nine international matches between these teams (W6 D3).
  • Israel have lost their last three World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Israel have kept only one clean sheet in their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Moldova are without a win in their last 27 World Cup qualifying matches (D4 L23). Their last victory was October 2013 vs Montenegro (a) W 5-2.

Israel vs Moldova prediction

Israel come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with a poor Lithuania side in Vilnius in their most recent outing, a few days ago. They have been struggling for a while in terms of their performance level and they sit nine points behind Italy, 12 below Norway in Group I of UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying, Moldova performed well as they defeated Poland and narrowly missed out on a top two finish. They have struggled badly in this qualifying campaign, though, with just one point collected from their seven matches in Group I thus far.

Moldova have conceded 28 goals in their seven matches, too, and, despite not having home advantage as well as their poor form, Israel are the firm favourites.

Israel vs Moldova tip: Israel to win
