Bad fog wiped out the 4th T20i between India and South Africa, which means the Proteas are playing to tie the series in this fifth and final match.

Date/time:

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India

Weather: Sunny before clear skies later on and light winds as temperatures drop to around 22c.

How to watch: UK – TNT Sports / USA – Willow TV

India vs South Africa prediction

South Africa fell behind for the second time in this series in the third T20i, losing by seven wickets. The Proteas’ batting is inconsistent, capable of a massive score, but also a dramatic collapse which makes their games tricky to predict. They were bowled out for 74 in game one then recorded 213/4 in the second T20i before being bowled out again for 117.

The worry for South Africa is that the abandoned fourth match has seen them lose a bit of momentum at a critical point. Conditions are likely to favour India in Ahmedabad and an unexpected rest for the bowlers should also help, particularly in Jasprit Bumrah’s case. A world class pacer like him may well prove difference-making and backing Bumrah to take over 1.5 match wickets looks a shrewd play.
