THE PREDICTION

Rachael Blackmore made history on board Minella Times in last year’s Grand National and will be looking to make it back-to-back successes in the showpiece event. He will have to overcome top weight to do so, coming in 15lbs higher than last year, and that could end up scuppering his chances with Blackmore needing to be at her very best if he is to make it successive Grand National wins. Delta Work edged out Tiger Roll in their brilliant Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham last month and should be capable of being in the frame here. Down the weights, Snow Leopardess come into this on the back of a hat-trick of victories and that form gives the mare every chance here. No mare has won this race since 1951 but at such a tempting weight and with some excellent form so far this season, she could become a history maker here.

Tip: Snow Leopardess e/w (10/1)
