Haiti have, quite remarkably, given themselves a brilliant opportunity to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they now prepare to host Nicaragua this midweek.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Fubo

Key stats

  • Haiti have lost only one of the previous ten international matches between these teams (W7 D2). They have won the last four without conceding a goal.
  • Haiti have lost only two of their last nine World Cup qualifying matches (W5 D2).
  • Nicaragua have lost their last three World Cup qualifying matches away from home.

Haiti vs Nicaragua prediction

On the penultimate match day of Group C in the third round of CONCACAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nicaragua did Haiti a favour to put the Haitians into a brilliant position to potentially qualify for the tournament next summer.

With two games to go, it appeared as though we would have a playoff between Costa Rica and Honduras to win qualification for the tournament but Nicaragua defeated Honduras and Haiti defeated the Costa Ricans the other day to mean that Haiti are now below group leaders Honduras on goal difference, with the Hondurans now taking on Costa Rica away from home.

If Honduras were to lose to Costa Rica in that game then Haiti will quality by defeating what does remain quite a poor Nicaragua side, and that should happen with their home advantage.

Haiti vs Nicaragua tip: Haiti to win & under 3.5 goals
