Guinea have a good squad but underperformed in CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they now take on a Niger side that have been improving.

Guinea vs Niger prediction

Guinea, despite having Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy up-front, struggle for goals quite generally. The Guineans most recently shared a 2-2 draw with Botswana in their most recent outing, last month, which did extend their current unbeaten run of form to five matches.

An impressive and improved spurt of form towards the end of qualifying saw Niger propel themselves into second spot in their group, sitting behind a very strong Moroccan side. Niger most recently suffered a 3-2 defeat to Burkina Faso with Hearts striker Pierre Kabore scoring a match-winning hat-trick in that game.

That high-scoring encounter was extremely surprising for Niger to be involved in and the expectation is that this one will be a low-scoring clash.

Guinea vs Niger tip: Under 2.5 goals
