  • Suriname have scored in 12 of their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches.

Guatemala vs Suriname prediction

In Group A of the third round of North American qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Guatemala sit third in the group, a couple of points above El Salvador but four behind the joint leaders Suriname and Panama, with Suriname sitting just above the Panamanians with a slightly better goal difference after their win the other day.

As Panama nearly gave up a 2-0 lead to draw against Guatemala, but eventually came through with a 3-2 victory, Suriname managed to hammer El Salvador by four goals to nil to leapfrog Panama to the top of the group, courtesy of goals from former Queens Park Rangers man Tjaronn Chery, as well as Dhoraso Klas and a Richonell Margaret brace.

Guatemala showed they could be quite front foot and entertaining the other day, but Suriname know that a win should now be enough to see them through for a first ever FIFA World Cup in a potentially topsy turvy affair.

Guatemala vs Suriname tip: Suriname to win & both teams to score
