Gibraltar are one of the few minnows that have actually been declining of late as they now welcome a poor Montenegro side to the National Stadium under the rock.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Gibraltar have lost all their previous 26 World Cup qualifying matches. They have lost all 26 matches in UEFA European Championship qualifying also.
  • Montenegro have won all three previous international encounters between these teams, each one coming in World Cup qualifying.
  • Montenegro have lost their last four World Cup qualifying matches without scoring a goal.

Gibraltar vs Montenegro prediction

Gibraltar come into this one on the back of a poor qualifying campaign in Group L of UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with six defeats from six, having scored just twice and conceded 20. They most recently suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Croatia last month.

They now face a Montenegro side that produced some bizarre results in last year’s UEFA Nations League but they have regressed to being very poor again, sitting six points behind the Faroe Islands. The Montenegrins most recently edged past a very poor Liechtenstein side by two goals to one last month.

Montenegro are massively on the decline and will find it tough to beat anyone at the moment, even if they do remain the favourites to defeat Gibraltar.

Gibraltar vs Montenegro tip: Montenegro to win & under 3.5 goals
