Gerwyn Price vs Luke Humphries prediction

Gerwyn Price has been doing enough each week to keep himself in the play-off places and it has taken Luke Littler to stop him in each of the last four Thursdays in the Premier League.

Indeed, it took a 108.58 averaged from the world champion to eliminate the Iceman in Berlin last week, and Price knows he will not be facing that level of performance every time he steps onto the oche.

Luke Humphries is one of those players capable of producing such numbers, but the reigning world champion finds himself in the unusual position of being outside the top four right now.

Cool Hand has not been his usual clinical self on the doubles in this year's event, with only floundering Josh Rock laying claim to a worse tournament checkout percentage at this stage.

Price averaged a phenomenal 109.04 when the pair met in Dublin two weeks ago, winning 6-1, but Humphries isn't a man who often gets beat twice in a row. Price, who has previously landed a nine-darter in Manchester, could be worth backing here, but over 9.5 legs is also a compelling market.

Gerwyn Price vs Luke Humphries tip: Over 9.5 legs
