- Uzbekistan have made history by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup™ for the first time. They were previously one step away from contesting the intercontinental play-off in the preliminary competition for the 2006 edition of the global showpiece when they lost on away goals against Bahrain in the fourth round. They endured the same fate in the qualifying campaign for the 2014 instalment, suffering shoot-out heartbreak at the hands of Jordan.
- The White Wolves secured their place at the 2026 finals with a second-place finish in their group during the third round of AFC qualifying. Across the entire campaign, they suffered just one defeat in 16 matches – a narrow 3-2 loss away to Qatar, decided by a goal deep into second-half stoppage time.
- Uzbekistan’s youth teams have also made their mark on the global stage, reaching the quarter-finals twice at the FIFA U-17 World Cup™ (2011 and 2023) and twice at the FIFA U-20 World Cup™ (2013 and 2015).
