Having joined Manchester City in January 2025, versatile defender Abdukodir Khusanov completed his first season in England having established himself as a key man in what was Pep Guardiola’s final season in the Premier League. The former Lens defender has 2006 Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro as his manager and he will be the key man at the back for an Uzbekistan side that will attempt to keep things tight and disciplined in a tough group alongside DR Congo, Portugal and Colombia in Group K this summer.
