Having fallen out with previous boss Domenico Tedesco and then not been a part of Belgium’s UEFA EURO 2024 squad, Thibaut Courtois has returned to the national team and is the bedrock of what is a still reasonably strong squad that could well be ‘dark horses’ with a fairly soft group that consists of Iran, Egypt and New Zealand. The Real Madrid shot stopper has been dealing with injuries in the last couple of months but he is now fully fit and remains one of, if not the, best goalkeepers in the tournament this summer.
