The star man for the Iranians this summer will be Olympiacos striker Mehdi Taremi. Having come through in Iran and then moving on to Al Gharafa in Qatar, Taremi broke into European football with a move to Rio Ave and after an extremely impressive stint in Vila do Conde, Taremi then went on to establish himself as a modern day great at FC Porto before an underwhelming stint with Internazionale in the 2024/25 campaign, albeit he did assist the Nerazzurri in reaching the UEFA Champions League final. With over 100 caps for Iran, he has also reached the impressive 60-goal mark for Team Melli.
