THE PREDICTION
Dundee will be relieved to be home after three-straight defeats in the Scottish Premiership all on the road, the last of which came 1-0 at Hibernian on Tuesday night. They have won their last two league games here and they face a fair chance at a point at least with Hearts fairly poor on their travels in recent weeks. Hearts lost 0-2 at home to Rangers last Sunday for a fourth win in their last seven league games and a 0-1 win at Livingston in the match prior was their first on the road in six. The two met three times in the Scottish Championship last season with Hearts winning each encounter and a 1-1 draw in Edinburgh back in October was their fifth unbeaten meeting. Taking the away side at double chance is the sensible move here as the team likelier to avoid defeat but this match looks something of a coupon buster. Only one side has scored in Hearts’ last five and four of Dundee’s last five, so perhaps both teams not to score could be a shrewd alternative.
