Three draws in a row for hosts St. Johnstone and two in a row for St. Mirren looks a decent pattern to follow here between two teams seeking to stay clear of the relegation places. A draw, however, does not suit St. Johnstone having played all 23 fixtures of the Scottish Premiership season with plenty of teams around them holding games in-hand. They came close to earning a much-needed win at Dundee United before the likely goal of the season was scored by Lawrence Shankland to equalise on Tuesday night but they should struggle to win here too against St. Mirren. The visitors have an excellent away record, losing just one of their last five on the road, and with three games in-hand on St. Johnstone know that this is an excellent opportunity to pull away from the bottom of the table.
