RANGERS VS ST. JOHNSTONE PREDICTION
St. Johnstone have quietly gone about a six-match unbeaten streak in the Scottish Premiership that has seen them claim a third of their 27 points this season. They look the likeliest team in the bottom-half of the table to escape the cut as things stand but the form of St. Mirren, with their three games in-hand, is keeping that dream quite far away. They were able to grab a massive 2-3 away win at Kilmarnock on Saturday which will take a lot of pressure off this most-difficult fixture away to Rangers. Steven Gerrard’s champions-elect had their fortunes improved without even playing last weekend as Celtic lost one of their games in-hand and they will be eager to make a statement here with the rare rest of a full week in their legs in this congested season. St. Johnstone have scored in four of their last five league games and so a win to nil for Rangers, though they have three on the spin at Ibrox, looks a little risky here. Instead, Rangers to win this match by a margin of two or more goals looks a better option.
