RANGERS VS CELTIC PREDICTION
Both sides won their respective Scottish Premiership games to nil on Wednesday afternoon to see Rangers’ lead at the top of the table remain at 16 points. Celtic, of course, have three games in-hand on their bitter rivals but they still have seven points to make up for in results alone and there is so much resting on this match. It could be argued that this is the most important Old Firm derby in many years and if Celtic lose this it is hard to see them claw Rangers back from the Premiership title. The last four editions of this fierce fixture have seen the away side victorious, with Rangers winning the last two matches between them on the spin. Now as hosts, Steven Gerrard’s side must break that spell of away wins but they are in such a comfortable position at the top that all the onus is on Celtic. This will be a true test of the rejuvenated green side of Glasgow as they come in on a four-match win streak, with four clean sheets to boot. In fact, both teams have such a good defensive record that opting for at least one clean sheet here could be a shrewd option. If a result must be called, a Rangers win to nil has been the manner of things this season at Ibrox but this should be a real battle on Saturday.
