THE PREDICTION
Both Santa Cara and Belenenses achieved much-needed wins on Monday to break five-match winless runs and haul themselves further away from a congested bottom of the Primeira Liga. Belenenses, especially, will be pleased with a solid 2-0 win over Tondela as they improved an already decent goal difference that looks like it may come in handy towards the end of the season but they remain just two points above Gil Vicente in 16th place before this weekend’s games. Santa Clara are in the relative safety of no man’s land in mid-table and have the slightly better form to show for it over their last five league matches, including a great 1-1 draw at home to Benfica at the start of January. Belenenses have failed to score away from home in the league for six straight matches now and goals should be at a premium here so a draw no bet in favour of the hosts with both teams not to score a total of less than 2.5 goals looks a useful combination.
