THE LOWDOWN
TORINO
Ever since the appointment of Ivan Juric, there have been concerns that Torino have underperformed and underwhelmed. The Turin-based club have often played quite attractive and easy on the eye football without penetration and that is the case one again for them this time around.
In their opening ten matches of the 2023/24 Serie A season, the home team have managed to score just seven goals. They very much sit in the bottom-half of the table and are competing against finishing in the bottom three and the relegation places with just three victories so far this season. They were beaten by Frosinone in the cup in midweek.
SASSUOLO
After gaining promotion to the top-flight with Empoli in 2021, Alessio Dionisi departed the Florence-based club and moved to Sassuolo. The visitors have often also flattered to deceive with Dionisi having to live up to the high standards that were set by the now Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Roberto De Zerbi.
The visitors come into this on the back of yet another frustrating performance as they had to defeat Spezia on penalties in the second round of the Coppa Italia after initially sharing a goalless draw. That followed on from a four-match winless run of form in the league that sees them surprisingly battling against falling into the danger zone.

THE PREDICTION
There are a group of teams that are often in the middle-of-the-table in Serie A that will view themselves as underperforming or being generally underwhelming as they fail to consistently perform in order to genuinely compete for a top seven finish and potential European qualification. Torino have often flattered to deceive under Ivan Juric with a lack of scoring and efficiency in attack their major downside. They have scored just seven goals in their opening ten matches so far this season. Sassuolo are winless in four matches since back-to-back wins against Juventus and Inter in mid-to-late-September. This one is an unappealing fixture for the neutral and under 3.5 goals seems fairly likely.
BETTING TIP: UNDER 3.5 GOALS
