THE PREDICTION

Following promotion last season, Darmstadt begin match day eleven of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season sitting down in the bottom-half, just above the bottom three and danger zone. The hosts were beaten 2-1 by Bochum last weekend and have now suffered three successive defeats. They now face a Mainz side that managed their first win of the campaign last weekend, against Leipzig, but remain in the bottom two ahead of the weekend. These are two of the lower scoring sides struggling down at the bottom so it may well be a bit of a dull one for the neutral.
