THE PREDICTION
Stuttgart’s five-match unbeaten run ended with a 4-0 defeat at Bayern Munich last time out, but of greater concern to coach Pellegrino Matarazzo will have been the season-ending injury to Silas Wamangituka, one of the breakout stars in the Bundesliga this season. With Nicolas Gonzalez and Orel Mangala also sidelined, Matarazzo is missing some key players for this one. Werder Bremen make the trip to the Mercedes-Benz Arena following their first back-to-back defeats of the year, although they were against Bayern and Wolfsburg. The visitors are also missing a key attacking player in joint top scorer Josh Sargent, who has been responsible for three of the seven goals the Green-Whites have scored across their last seven league games. With both teams sitting comfortably in mid-table and under no great pressure, a low-scoring contest could well ensue.
