THE PREDICTION

Augsburg are all but safe for another year after a 2-1 win at home to Hoffenheim last weekend, which was their third victory in five games - although they have lost five of their last six away from home. Safety seems a distant dream for basement boys Schalke, who fell to yet another defeat at Bayer Leverkusen last Saturday, and their relegation could even be confirmed as early as next weekend depending on results. The Royal Blues did at least manage a goal at Leverkusen having drawn a blank in six of their previous seven matches, and they need to throw everything at Augsburg here. The visitors have only registered one clean sheet in their last 13 league games, while Schalke have managed just three all season, so both teams to score - which has happened in five of the last seven meetings between the two - looks appealing for this one.
