Leaders Bayern will effectively have one hand on the trophy if they come out on top against nearest challengers RB Leipzig, but they will have to do so without star striker Robert Lewandowski, who has been ruled out for four weeks with an injury sustained on international duty. The Pole has scored 35 of Bayern’s incredible 78 goals in the Bundesliga this term, so Leipzig’s league-best defence do have a slightly easier task on their hands now. Recent meetings between the current top two have tended to be tight and cagey affairs - the last four have all ended in draws, while five of the last seven have seen fewer than three goals. Although Bayern’s games have largely been high-scoring this season, the hosts’ defensive solidity and the absence of Lewandowski suggest that under 2.5 goals could be a smart bet.
