THE PREDICTION

Hertha return to action following their coronavirus-enforced break with a relegation six-pointer at Mainz. The disruption came at a bad time for Pal Dardai’s side, not only because it leaves them with a hectic last few weeks of the campaign but also because they are unbeaten in three games - their best run since December. Mainz are in even better form as they look to secure their top-flight status, culminating in a shock 2-1 win over champions-elect Bayern Munich last time out. That was their fifth win in six games and another victory in this one would all but ensure their safety. Given that Hertha are winless on their travels since November and are still getting back into the swing of things after quarantine, the hosts should be fancied to claim the all-important three points.
