THE PREDICTION

There seems to be no stopping Bayer Leverkusen, who are top of the Bundesliga for the first time since 2014 following Sunday’s 4-1 win at home to Hoffenheim. The Werkself have won nine and drawn one of their last 10 matches in all competitions, scoring three or more goals in eight of those. They are also spreading the goals around what has become a settled team, with 10 different players already getting on the scoresheet this season. Koln’s form is improving and they did end a 21-game wait for a clean sheet at Mainz on Saturday, but it is hard to see them keeping out Leverkusen’s attack, so an away win and over 2.5 goals looks a smart bet for this one.
